Prosense HART communication module and software were registered by FDI.
Prosense is a member of the FieldComm Group, the commercial organization responsible for determining the HART Communications Protocol standards. Prosense constantly works and invests in technology and solutions for customer needs. In this context, it has completed its work to enable the HART Protocol, which is preferred in low current systems, to be used in Prosense products. Prosense HART solution has been tested by FDI and certified to comply with technological standards. The HART module and software were completely designed and imple mented by the Prosense R&D team.
HART is a widely used communication protocol in the process automation industry. HART Protocol combines 4-20mA analog signal and digital com munication, providing intelligent communication and additional control operations between dedectors and control systems. The traditional 4-20mA analog signal allows measurement level and status information to be monitored through the current level. HART Protocol enables digital data transfer using Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) on this connection. Digital communication uses 1200-2200Hz frequency and has no effect on analog communication. Since it is possible to monitor the system through analog communication if a problem arises with digital communication, the HART protocol is considered a redundant system and is especially preferred in critical systems.
HART Protocol contains standard commands defined for the main device in the control system to monitor and control field devices. Prosense detectors are capable of providing the necessary responses to these commands and can work in harmony with any system or control device. Since devices that support the HART Protocol must comply with the criteria set by FDI, there are no compatibility problems.
Thanks to Prosense HART Protocol, advanced functions and monitoring features have been made available in detectors. In this way, it aims to increase the overall efficiency and reliability of process automation systems. Prosense HART protocol has been tested and approved by FDI. Information regarding the Prosense device and the FDI Device Pack age has been published on the FDI Product Registration web page, and the files are now available for download from the link below:
